Another Jury Verdict for Ford Motor Company

Lightfoot Partner Terry McCarthy was part of the team that successfully defended Ford Motor Company in a products liability trial in which the plaintiffs claimed that a Ford F-150 truck had a defective fuel rail crossover hose. After seven days of trial, the plaintiffs asked the jury to award millions of dollars in compensatory and punitive damages. The Autauga County jury returned a verdict in favor of Ford Motor Company on all counts, and the trial court entered judgment for Ford on the verdict. McCarthy was part of the defense team that included Alan Thomas, Jeff Ash, and Chip Jett from the Birmingham law firm of Huie Fernambucq & Stewart, and Louis Colley of the Prattville law firm of Cleveland & Colley.
