Lightfoot Attorneys Hughey and Huntley Recognized by the University of Alabama School of Law’s Black Law Students Association 2012 reception
The Black Law Students Association (“BLSA”) of the University of Alabama School of Law hosted its annual scholarship banquet at the Harbert Center in downtown Birmingham on Thursday, April 12, 2012. The keynote speaker was Chevon Fuller, Senior Counsel for Boeing Company. In addition to awards given to faculty and students, BLSA recognized the recipients of the Gail Johnson Award and the Bryan K. Fair Achievement Award. The Gail Johnson Award is given to a practicing attorney and U of A Law alum who has made a significant contribution to the community-especially to students aspiring to be attorneys. The recipient of this year’s Gail Johnson Award is Lightfoot Partner James “Jim” F. Hughey, III. The Bryan K. Fair Achievement Award is chosen by the BLSA members and is given to a U of A Law alum in recognition of their dedication and commitment to the community and the students at the law school. The recipient of this year’s Bryan K. Fair Achievement Award is Lightfoot attorney Elizabeth “Liz” Huntley.
