Sam Franklin Speaks at American College of Trial Lawyers 2017 Northeast Regional Dinner

Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC founding partner, Sam Franklin, spoke at the American College of Trial Lawyers’ annual Northeast Regional Dinner on January 27, 2017, in Boston.

Franklin, the ACTL president-elect, addressed about 120 Fellows alongside former U.S. Supreme Court Justice David Souter who presented an award to Frank Bellotti, the former Massachusetts Attorney General. Franklin also shared the stage with former Boston Globe reporter Ben Bradlee, Jr., whose investigative reporting exposing sexual abuse by Catholic priests was the subject of the Oscar-winning movie "Spotlight."

In his presentation, Franklin discussed ACTL’s Foundation, the progress of its “Power of an Hour” campaign and the organization’s recent efforts to promote diversity. Franklin will be installed as the organization’s president at ACTL’s annual meeting in September 2017. Founding partner Warren Lightfoot served as the organization’s president in 2002-2003, making Franklin the firm’s second attorney to serve in the prestigious role.
