Super Lawyers Publishes Profile About Clint Speegle’s Iraq War Aviation Experience and University Drone Policy Work

September 21, 2017

Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC associate Clinton T. Speegle was recently featured in an article by Super Lawyers highlighting his military experience and aviation practice.

In the profile, Speegle describes his experience being ambushed while flying over Baghdad to escort former Iraqi president Saddam Hussein to trial. He explains how his experience as a U.S. Army attack helicopter pilot has translated into the recent work he’s done crafting drone policies for major universities around the country. Speegle wrote the Standard Operating Procedures for unarmed aerial vehicles (UAVs) used by the 4th Infantry Division.

“But my aviation practice is bigger than drones. I do crashes. I do FAA/TSA issues at the airport or for pilots. I do contract disputes between hangars and airport authorities. If it has anything to do with airplanes, I’m involved in it,” said Speegle.

Speegle is a member of the firm’s Aviation & Aerospace and NCAA Compliance & Investigations practice teams. He recently authored an article for University Business about drafting policies for campus drones and was interviewed by College Planning & Management about the topic. He also co-authored an article with fellow Lightfoot attorneys Brandon K. Essig and Jack Sharman about Title IX fairness on college and university campuses
