Before law school, Charles spent several years selling insurance, mutual funds, and annuities for the Massachusetts Mutual Insurance Company and the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. His sales career taught him how to identify issues, ask questions and persuade people to take action. Those same problem solving skills are now applied in his legal practice to help his clients find the most efficient resolution to their problems, whether that warrants an early resolution or requires seeing a case to a jury verdict.

Charles’s practice is varied. He works with financial institutions accused of fraud and bad faith in some of the worst venues in the country. He oversees all North American litigation for a multinational producer of safety products for heavy trucks and buses, including radar based cruise control and stability control systems. In that role, Charles has handled litigation matters throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. In addition to his litigation practice, Charles has extensive experience advising clients on regulatory issues, including NHTSA recalls and TREAD Act compliance, and he has assisted clients with NTSB investigations involving pipeline, railway and highway incidents.
