Jason Rose practices general civil litigation with an emphasis in insurance defense litigation, specifically representing policyholders of several multi-national insurance companies. Jason manages litigation dockets in the areas of construction defects, auto accident liability, premises liability, first party insurance claims, products liability, contracts, personal injury, employment law, consumer law, and toxic torts. The average amount in controversy of his caseload falls within the six-figure dollar range. Jason has also handled real estate acquisitions, commercial investment property management, landlord/tenant law, and general corporate law.

Jason is highly skilled at assessing the risk of exposure to liability. He evaluates the likelihood of early settlement. Jason has represented numerous clients in mediation and arbitration. Jason has shown that he is quite adept at motion practice. He has prepared and argued motions in all phases of litigation: pretrial, trial, and post judgment. Notably, Jason has successfully obtained client dismissals from lawsuits on dispositive grounds, as well as settled cases in mediation favorable to his clients.

  • Assisted client by negotiating a fortuitous severance agreement with former employer

Jason graduated magna cum laude from Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University in 2001. In addition to being a member of Phi Delta Phi, Legal Honor Society, and the Environmental Law Club, Jason served as the law student liaison to the Houston Lawyers Association and was a tutor of first-year Criminal Law and Contracts courses. In his third-year, the Dean appointed Jason to serve as the Title IX administrator managing the law school Tutor Corps. Despite his busy extra-curricular activities, Jason graduated law school with honors with an academic ranking of 6 out of 181 graduates.

Jason recently earned a LL.M. (Masters of Law) degree in Energy, Environment & Natural Resources from the University of Houston Law Center in December 2015.

Outside the Office

Jason enjoys traveling abroad, where he immerses himself in the local culture, cuisine, and rich history. He is an avid snow skier, and still enjoys using his rollerblades – weather permitting. Jason is also the proud owner of two rambunctious miniature schnauzers, and lives in the heart of Houston, Texas.
