Lightfoot’s Ashby Pate Wins Property Lawsuit in the Republic of Palau

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (July 31, 2018) — Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC attorney Ashby Pate has won a lawsuit involving a multi-million dollar piece of undeveloped property on the main island of Koror in the Pacific island nation of Palau. Pate represented a high net worth individual, who is also a Palauan Chief, in the matter during a one-week trial in December 2017 in the Palau Supreme Court, where Pate formerly served as a Supreme Court justice. The judge in the case issued the opinion, awarding Lightfoot’s client relief on all six causes of action earlier this summer.
