BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (September 14, 2018) — Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC partner Terry McCarthy has been named the 2018 ‘Friend of Cumberland School of Law’ at Samford University.

The award recognizes a person, who though not a graduate of the school, has contributed time and resources to enhance the quality of the law school and the educational experience of its students.

In addition to his diverse trial and appellate practice, McCarthy is a preeminent authority on evidence issues in the state of Alabama. He is coauthor of the Third Edition of Gamble’s Alabama Rules of Evidence and the forthcoming Seventh Edition of McElroy’s Alabama Evidence.
