Chandler Bailey Discusses Advanced Driver Assistance Systems at ABA Motor Vehicle Conference

Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC partner Chandler Bailey joined counsel from Exponent, General Motors, Toyota and Bush Seyferth to discuss Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) at the 2026 ABA Motor Vehicle Product Liability Litigation Conference on April 16 in Arizona. 

As federal regulations increasingly mandate capabilities like automatic emergency braking, the panel examined the current state of ADAS technology alongside the gap between what these systems can actually do and what consumers have come to expect from them – a tension at the center of many of today’s most complex automotive product liability matters. 

Bailey represents prominent manufacturers and suppliers in complex product liability matters often involving catastrophic injuries and wrongful death. 

Partner Matthew Winne, who also represents automotive manufacturers in complex product liability matters, also attended the conference.
