David “Chips” Pruet Confirmed as Alabama Ethics Commission Member

Lightfoot, Franklin & White partner David "Chips" Pruet was confirmed by the Alabama Senate on April 7 to become a member of the Alabama Ethics Commission. He will serve a five-year term.

Pruet was nominated to the Commission by the Speaker of the Alabama House of Representatives Nathaniel Ledbetter. The Commission, which is comprised of five Commissioners, works to ensure that public officials act independently and impartially, that decisions are made through proper governmental channels, and that public office is not used for personal gain — all in service of maintaining public trust in government.

Pruet focuses his practice on commercial disputes across numerous industries, including healthcare, energy, banking, insurance, private equity, securities, manufacturing, construction and commercial real estate.
