Lane Morrison Named to Board of Directors for Volunteer Lawyers Birmingham

Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC associate A. Lane Morrison has been selected as a member of the Volunteer Lawyers Birmingham (VLB) Board of Directors. He will serve a three-year term from 2019 to 2021.
Volunteer Lawyers Birmingham, formerly known as the Birmingham Bar Volunteer Lawyers Program, was created in 1994 by leaders in the Birmingham Bar Association. The organization promotes access to justice by inspiring volunteer attorneys to provide high-quality legal services at no charge to low-income individuals and families with basic civil legal needs at critical times in their lives. It is the largest provider of pro bono legal services in Alabama.
Morrison has been actively involved with organization and has represented numerous VLB clients pro bono over the years, including volunteering through its Veterans Help Desk. He was also recently elected to the Executive Committee of the Birmingham Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section.
Morrison focuses his practice on defending clients in complex commercial and product liability disputes. With a background in engineering, he is particularly adept at handling cases involving highly technical issues. Before joining Lightfoot, Lane put his training and experience to work defending architects and engineers in design and construction defect claims across the Southeast.
