August 10, 2026
Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC managing partner Wes Gilchrist has been selected to participate in Leadership Alabama’s Class XXXVI for the 2026-2027 program year.
One of the state’s most competitive statewide leadership programs, Leadership Alabama brings together leaders from business, government, education, nonprofit and civic sectors. Participants engage in a series of forums and retreats focused on the opportunities and challenges facing the state, while building relationships with fellow leaders committed to Alabama’s future.
Class XXXVI will begin in October 2026 and continue through the spring of 2027. Throughout the program, members of the cohort will participate in discussions and site visits designed to provide insight into the economic, educational, governmental and social issues affecting Alabama and its citizens.
Gilchrist follows Lightfoot’s former managing partner Melody Eagan, senior counsel Elizabeth Huntley and executive director Warren Nash, all alumni of the program.
“Leadership Alabama has a long history of bringing together leaders from across our state to foster collaboration and deepen understanding of the issues shaping Alabama’s future,” said Gilchrist. “I’ve seen firsthand through Melody and Warren the relationships and perspective it builds. I am honored to be selected and looking forward to the year ahead.”
Gilchrist serves as Lightfoot’s managing partner, guiding the firm’s strategic growth and operations. His practice focuses on representing businesses and individuals in complex commercial litigation, product liability, toxic tort and environmental matters. He has extensive experience handling high-stakes disputes in state and federal courts.
