An experienced insurance defense litigator handling high-stakes cases

Jason Rose focuses his civil litigation practice primarily on insurance defense. He regularly takes on cases with hundreds of thousands of dollars at stake for clients that include several multinational insurance companies. Jason’s matters frequently involve claims of construction defects, auto accident liability, premises liability, first-party insurance claims, product liability, contracts, consumer law, landlord/tenant disputes and toxic torts.

Clients turn to Jason for his skill in assessing both their risk of exposure to liability and the likelihood of early case settlement. He frequently represents clients in mediation and arbitration and has secured favorable settlements. Adept at Texas motion practice, Jason has prepared and argued motions in all phases of litigation — pretrial, trial and post-judgment — and has obtained dismissals on dispositive grounds.

Using legal skills to serve the wider community

In addition to his day-to-day practice, Jason is active in the community. He volunteers for the NAACP Legal Redress Clinic and the Houston Volunteer Lawyers Program, both of which provide pro bono legal counseling to individuals who could not otherwise afford representation. Jason also is an active member of the Houston Lawyers Association where he participates on the Judicial Oversight & Selection Committee.

Jason enjoys traveling abroad, immersing himself in the culture, cuisine and history of each new place. He is an avid snow skier, swimmer, and enjoys rollerblading — weather permitting. Jason lives in the heart of Houston with his two rambunctious miniature schnauzers.
