February 3, 2026
Lightfoot, Franklin & White Director of Investigations Josh Alford was recently invited to join two highly selective international professional organizations. He is now a member of the World Association of Detectives (WAD), which is the longest-established international association of professional investigators. Founded in 1921, WAD accepts members through an application and review process, with an emphasis on professional reputation, ethics and international cooperation.
Alford has also been selected to join the Council of International Investigators (CII), an elite international organization with a limited global membership. CII strongly emphasizes peer vetting, professional integrity and a rigorous admissions process.
Alford has more than 20 years of investigative experience from his service as a special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS). He supports Lightfoot’s trial lawyers by conducting investigations into cases and assessing evidence. He also interviews potential witnesses and gathers crucial information to shape litigation strategy.
