Edgar Harper Recognized as a Birmingham Business Journal 2024 Leader in Diversity

Edgar Harper, Chief Diversity Officer and Chief Operation Officer at Lightfoot, Franklin and White, has been honored as a  2024 Leader in Diversity by the Birmingham Business Journal. This recognition celebrates Birmingham professionals dedicated to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion in their organizations.  

Harper expanded his leadership scope by taking on the role of Lightfoot’s inaugural Chief Diversity Officer in October of 2023, in addition to his long-standing position as COO. In this dual capacity, he spearheads initiatives that enrich diversity and operational strategies. His role is instrumental in driving forward diversity and inclusion programs, not only within Human Resources but across various firm committees, including Recruiting, Associates, D&I, the Executive Committee, and Marketing. 

Drawing on his extensive experience as Lightfoot’s COO, Harper implements effective strategies that bolster the firm’s commitment to a diverse and inclusive workplace. His recent achievement in completing a Diversity and Inclusion Certification course from Cornell University further underscores his dedication to understanding and promoting DEI principles at Lightfoot.
