Haley Cox Named to Birmingham Business Journal’s ‘Best of the Bar’ for 2021

Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC partner Haley A. Cox has been named to the Birmingham Business Journal’s 2021 “Best of the Bar” list.

The annual awards "highlight star performers from across the Magic City’s legal scene." Honorees were nominated by their peers and selected based on their status within their practice group, their tangible accomplishments, their influence in their firms, and their impact on Birmingham and its legal community, among other factors.

Cox is a sought-after defense litigator handling high-stakes product liability and catastrophic injury cases on behalf of leading clients. She has spent an impressive 76 days in court or arbitration during her 15-year career, which is an astounding figure given most cases settle. Even in 2020, when courts were reduced to the barest of operations due to COVID-19, Cox spent 14 days in court or arbitration.

Benchmark Litigation recognizes Haley as one of the “Top 250 Women in Litigation” nationally.  Since 2014, Haley has been named by Thomson Reuters' Super Lawyers as a "Rising Star.” Haley has also been selected for the Alabama State Bar's Leadership Forum, and she has been named as a "Rising Star of Law" and “Top 40 Under 40” by the Birmingham Business Journal.
