Lightfoot Names Jared Levinthal Houston Office Managing Partner

January 24, 2022

Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC has appointed partner Jared Levinthal to lead the litigation firm's Houston office. The firm named Levinthal to the role as it continues to expand its reach in Texas.

"Not only is Jared a respected trial lawyer, but he founded his own litigation boutique prior to joining forces with Lightfoot in 2020, so he's no stranger to managing and inspiring a team," said Lightfoot managing partner Melody Eagan. "In this new role, Jared will collaborate with the Executive Committee on strategic planning and management of the Houston office. We're grateful for his willingness to step into this critical position and are confident he will lead our Houston team to new heights."

Lightfoot has more than 60 trial lawyers, 14 of whom are licensed to practice in Texas. The firm opened its Houston office in 2017 in an effort to meet demand from existing Texas clients and expand on opportunities in the region. Lightfoot continued that expansion when it joined with Texas-based trial boutique Levinthal Wilkins PLLC in 2020, adding Levinthal, Robert Wilkins, Kaitlyn Faucett and their staff to its ranks.

Levinthal represents plaintiffs and defendants in all types of litigation, including complex commercial cases with millions of dollars — and often the company itself — at stake. He has practiced since 1997 and handles disputes involving commercial and business issues, product liability, professional malpractice, intellectual property, insurance coverage and bad faith, serious personal injury and wrongful death. Since 2013, Levinthal has routinely been named a “Super Lawyer” in the Texas Monthly list of top attorneys in the state, and he was named one of the top 100 lawyers in Houston by Super Lawyers in 2019.
