Lightfoot Partner’s Win Named a Top 20 Verdict in Texas for 2019

Top Verdict named a plaintiff win secured by Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC partner Jared I. Levinthal as a “Top 20 Verdict in Texas” for 2019. The case, SED Holdings LLC v. 3 Star Properties LLC et al. was tried last year in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.

Levinthal, who joined Lightfoot on January 1, 2020, represented SED Holdings, an investment company defrauded by several real estate investment entities when it attempted to buy more than 1,000 non-performing loans.

After deliberating for three hours following a trial that spanned over two weeks, the federal jury in Texas found unanimously for SED on every claim.

Prior to joining Lightfoot, he founded his own litigation boutique and worked at one of the largest law firms in Texas.
