January 9, 2024
Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC is pleased to announce the firm has successfully completed a System and Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type II audit. This achievement is a significant milestone for the firm and ensures Lightfoot meets leading industry standards for information security.
To achieve SOC 2 Type II report, organizations must undergo a rigorous audit of their procedures and controls for privacy, security and risk management. Lightfoot consistently reviews how the firm collects, manages, stores and secures client data. To ensure ongoing compliance and a commitment to continual improvement, Lightfoot will complete annual audits to uphold these standards.
“Our clients trust us with a wide variety of sensitive data, so we pursued a SOC 2 Type II audit and report to benchmark our safeguards and ensure we operate according to the highest standards,” said Corey Thomas, Lightfoot’s chief technology officer. “This audit and report not only marks a milestone for us but reinforces our commitment to providing our clients with the highest standards of data security and privacy.”
Established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the SOC 2 examination is designed for organizations of any size, regardless of industry and scope, to ensure the personal assets of their potential and existing customers are protected. SOC 2 reports are recognized globally and affirm that a company’s infrastructure, software, people, data, policies, procedures and operations have been formally reviewed.
