Lightfoot Sponsors ‘Love for Literacy’ Event

Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC was a proud sponsor for this year’s “Love for Literacy” event on February 15 in Birmingham. Now in its sixth year, the gala is the primary fundraiser for Better Basics, which provides literacy intervention and enrichment programs for Alabama students in Birmingham, Fairfield, Midfield City Schools and Talladega County Schools. 

Better Basics was founded 25 years ago to address the direct correlation between poverty and illiteracy. Its programs empower local youth, helping children learn to read, comprehend, retain and  learn.
