Lightfoot Welcomes Two First-Year Associates

Jackson Knouse and Matthew Winne join Birmingham office

Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC is proud to announce its newest lawyers, Jackson E. Knouse and Matthew J. Winne, who join the Birmingham office as first-year associates.

Knouse has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in commercial litigation, product liability, environmental and telecommunication matters. He also worked for the Office of the Tennessee Attorney General where he conducted research and prepared motions in healthcare fraud cases. Knouse received his law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School, where he served on the Moot Court Board and taught legal writing and research as a teaching assistant.

Winne has handled matters in a range of practice areas, including product liability, medical malpractice and First Amendment law. Prior to joining the firm, he clerked for a superior court judge in Atlanta. Winne graduated cum laude from the University of Alabama School of Law, where he was a senior editor of the Alabama Law Review and a member of the John A. Campbell Moot Court Board.
