Lightfoot Welcomes Two New Attorneys

Judicial law clerk joins the firm’s Birmingham office, lateral associate joins the firm’s Houston office

Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC is pleased to welcome two new lateral associates: Mary Parrish McCracken joins Lightfoot’s Birmingham office, while Reeny M.J. Philip joins the firm’s Houston office. 

McCracken comes to Lightfoot after working at a Birmingham employment law firm and clerking for the Honorable R. Austin Huffaker, Jr. During law school, McCracken co-chaired the University of Alabama Law School’s John A. Campbell Moot Court Board and participated in the Trial Advocacy Competition Team and Jessup Moot Court Competition Team. Bench and Bar Legal Society and The Order of Barristers, a national honor society recognizing students for oral advocacy and brief writing skills, have also recognized McCracken for her potential. McCracken currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Young Lawyers Section of the Birmingham Bar Association. Before law school, she graduated from Vanderbilt University.

Philip joins the firm after gaining experience in commercial and employment litigation at firms in Chicago and Houston. She served as Symposium Editor at Loyola University Chicago School of Law’s Consumer Law Review, leading a symposium focused on consumer law issues affecting minority groups. During law school, Philip interned in the in-house department of a Fortune 150 company, focusing on antitrust, intellectual property, contractual and privacy compliance issues. She also externed for the Honorable Pamela Meyerson in the Cook County Circuit Court. Before law school, Philip attended Case Western Reserve University under the prestigious Provost’s Scholarship and interned for a U.S. senator for two consecutive summers.
