Managing Partner Melody Eagan Talks Leadership and Business Development at Birmingham Bar Association’s Future Leaders Forum

Last Week, Managing Partner, Melody Eagan spoke at the 2021 Birmingham Bar Association’s Future Leaders Forum. Each year, the forum consists of a diverse array of lawyer and non-lawyer speakers presenting on a range of topics relevant to young lawyers. 

Eagan spoke on the effectiveness of positive leadership, the importance of starting marketing and business development efforts early in a career, and the future of the legal profession. Other speakers at this year’s forum included Ken Riley, John Morgan, and Jansen Voss.

Eagan serves as the firm’s first female Managing Partner. She brings decades of experience in high stakes product liability and catastrophic injury cases and has successfully tried numerous cases to verdict throughout the Southeast. She also regularly represents medical providers in malpractice cases, as well as serves as appellate counsel for a number of clients. Benchmark Litigation recognizes Eagan as a “Top 250 Women in Litigation” and a “Litigation Star.” She is listed in The Best Lawyers in America© and Mid-South Super Lawyers, as well as being recognized as an Elite Boutique Trailblazer by the National Law Journal. Eagan previously served as president of the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association.
