Melody Eagan Named to ‘Top Birmingham Women’ List for 2020 by Birmingham Business Journal

Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC managing partner Melody Eagan has been named one of the “Top Birmingham Women” for 2020 by the Birmingham Business Journal. She will be recognized in a virtual ceremony at the 2020 Women’s Summit on October 29.

In recognition of its 10th annual Women’s Summit, the BBJ introduced the special award to recognize Birmingham women who have risen to the pinnacle of their respective industries. Award recipients were chosen out of a record-breaking field of nominees for the publication’s “Women to Watch” honor, which features the Magic City’s most accomplished women who are making strides in both the business world and the community.

Eagan became Lightfoot’s first female managing partner in 2018. She has decades of experience defending high stakes product liability and catastrophic injury cases and has successfully tried numerous cases to verdict throughout the Southeast.  She also represents medical providers in malpractice cases, as well as serves as appellate counsel for a number of clients. Benchmark Litigation selected Eagan as one of the “Top 250 Women in Litigation” in the country for the past two years.  She is also listed in The Best Lawyers in America© and Mid-South Super Lawyers, and the National Law Journal has recognized her as an Elite Boutique Trailblazer.
