Wesley Smithart Elected Treasurer of Alabama State Bar Young Lawyers Section

Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC is proud to announce that associate M. Wesley Smithart has been elected Treasurer of the Alabama State Bar Young Lawyers Section.

The Young Lawyers Section provides leadership, service and professional development opportunities to lawyers who are either under the age of 36 or admitted to the bar within the last 10 years. In her new role, Wesley will help guide the Section’s programming and fiscal planning.

Smithart’s defense litigation practice focuses on product liability, medical malpractice, white-collar enforcement and personal injury matters. She represents a wide range of clients, including Fortune 100 companies, healthcare providers and national insurers. In addition to her practice, Smithart serves on Lightfoot’s hiring committee and is active in the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, where she is vice chair of the Women in the Law Committee’s mentoring program.
