We represent clients in patent, trademark and copyright disputes in state and federal courts. Our lawyers also have significant experience with administrative proceedings at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), including inter partes review before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) and patent reexamination.

Representative Matters

Representing an aerospace coating manufacturing and systems integration company in a trade secrets case against former employees, resulting in a favorable resolution and judgment in favor of the client.

Defending a client in the food and beverage industry against a claim of patent infringement.

Counterclaiming against an international plaintiff for a trade secret and breach of contract claim. The plaintiff voluntarily dismissed claims against our client and settled the counterclaim. 

Defending a client against a claim of patent infringement related to transmitting computer-generated, analog color video signals over extended distances.

Defending an aerospace parts and service supplier in a trade secrets civil lawsuit in Georgia. There was also the potential for criminal charges. Our work resulted in a dismissal of the civil complaint and no criminal charges being filed against the client.

Defending a large e-commerce company in a trademark infringement dispute that included defamation and numerous other claims.

Defending a manufacturer of paper products in a false advertising case brought under the Lanham Act. The plaintiff sought preliminary and permanent injunctions after our client aired a nationally televised comparison commercial that the plaintiff alleged falsely represented the quality of its product.

Obtaining relief for a sports memorabilia manufacturer in an injunction proceeding against vendors that copied designs for promotions.

Representing a pharmaceutical company seeking to permanently enjoin a competitor from manufacturing and selling certain generic drugs after our client’s trade secret information was leaked to the competitor by an employee.

Representing numerous national and international securities and insurance broker-dealers, as well as individual securities and insurance brokers, in temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction proceedings regarding noncompete and nondisclosure agreements.
