Meghan is a seasoned litigator who approaches each case with poise and a strategic mindset.
Meghan partners with clients on an array of commercial litigation, products liability, environmental and other complex tort matters. She has been recognized in Birmingham and nationwide for her litigation practice. She began her practice in civil litigation, focusing on trust and estate litigation and insurance defense, and applies that experience to her commercial litigation practice at Lightfoot. This broad experience provides her with a unique approach to complex litigation and strategic dispute resolution.
Meghan's time as a member of the Birmingham Bar Association’s Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Executive Board has enriched her perspective regarding business and commercial litigation. She now serves as the board secretary. Meghan has been recognized by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for her work in commercial litigation and has recently been named a Mid-South Rising Star by Super Lawyers. During her time at William & Mary Law School, Meghan participated in the Business Law Review as well as an externship in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia, where she further sharpened her litigation skills.
Meghan’s involvement in Birmingham extends beyond her legal practice: she served on the Junior Board for Girls, Inc., a nonprofit that equips girls with the skills to navigate through economic, gender, and social barriers and to grow up as independent individuals. Outside of the office, Meghan enjoys exploring Birmingham with her husband, Walker, and rescue pup, Otey.
