Reid is originally from Talladega, Alabama. He joined the firm in 2010 after graduating from the University of Alabama School of Law. During law school, he was a member of the National Civil Trial Competition Team, through which he was a recipient of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Student Advocacy Award. In addition, he was selected as a member of the Order of Barristers for outstanding oral advocacy and served as his class Career Service Representative.
Reid loves being in the courtroom, and his practice has allowed him to gain invaluable “on his feet” experience advocating clients’ positions in a variety of areas. He maintains a general litigation practice, but the majority of his experience falls in three key areas – natural gas, products and healthcare. Reid’s natural gas experience involves the regular representation of a natural gas operator in the State. His product liability experience includes the defense of several major manufacturers of industrial, agricultural and forestry equipment, and he has also handled several cases involving allegations of defective firearms and ammunition. The remainder of his practice is primarily dedicated to the defense of doctors and hospitals in medical malpractice litigation throughout the State.
Outside of work, Reid is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys fishing and spring turkey hunting.
